Redesign of Tribecar

Background of Tribecar

Tribecar Singapore is a car-sharing platform that provides affordable car rental services to drivers in Singapore. It was launched in 2016 and has since become one of the leading car-sharing companies in the country.

Project Overview

This is a project that I did for my UX/UI module in Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore.

The outline of these projects include understanding what user's pain point when using Tribecar and doing research on Tribecar's competitors on their pros and cons.

The insights gathered will be used to develop a design solution that addresses user pain points and leverages the strengths of Tribecar's competitors.

Initial Analysis

To understand more about the pain points and experience, I have visited Tribecar’s website and rent a vehicle myself.

Here is a list of factor to help me in my analysis when experiencing the site.

Visual

This factor refers to the overall look and feel of the website, including the use of color, typography, and imagery.

It also includes the layout of the website and how information is presented.

Impressions

This factor includes the first impressions that users have of the website, such as the homepage, landing pages, and vehicle listings.

It also includes factors such as loading speed, ease of use, and overall impression of the website.

Navigation

This factor refers to how easy it is for users to navigate the website and find the information they need.

It includes the organization of the website, the use of menus and links, and the ease of finding specific pages and information.

Visual Analysis

Tribecar's current homepage

First Impression of the homepage to me is overwhelming. The search bar which is the main feature of the homepage is hidden in the background.

Promos been advertised on the top of the webpage.
Offers & Deals can only be access
through user profile dashboard.

New users will have a difficult time
if they want to know what are the
latest offers available.

Offers & Deals should be placed at
the homepage where it is much
easier to be access.

The search function is clean and simple.

However, more feature could be added in e.g. past history, recommendation or vehicles near you.

Users also have to scroll all the way back up
if they want to amend their search.
Information is just everywhere with no focus point.

Features of the vehicle and booking details aren’t highlighted for easy reference

Can’t amend pick up dates and time.
User have to return to the homepage to amend .
